L'Hiver Avant L'Hiver — Vogue Paris (Aug10)
[shot by: David Sims; styled by: Carine Roitfeld & Emmanuelle Alt]
Let me begin by saying I am now 10x more anxious to get my hands on the August issue of French Vogue simply because of this 65—yes, SIXTY-FIVE—page editorial shot by David Sims and pulled together through the combined efforts of Carine Roitfeld and Emmanuelle Alt. The editorial which shows off the best of what is to come for this f/w 2010 season from all the top designers, features an outrageous line-up of models: Freja Beha Erichsen, Iselin Steiro, Joan Smalls, Daria Werbowy, Isabeli Fontana, Crystal Renn, Frida Gustavsson, Aline Weber, and Monika Jagaciak. I can't even begin to describe to you what kind of fashion seizure I'm having right now; this is overload for me... I'm sure these images will all look ever the more amazing in print; but for now, I offer you the digital versions. Obviously 65 images is a lot to place under a cut, so I instead plucked out my favorites and suggest you zip on over to Fashion Gone Rogue for the rest... actually, scratch that, I don't suggest it... I'm ordering you to if you have any semblance of fashion interest whatsoever, lol. It's nice to see they included Crystal Renn, but I have to wonder if it was simply to ride the momentum of her current 'plus-size' train. Freja looks good, though her expressions leave much to be desired; it would have been nice to see more than just a couple shots of Joan Smalls, but then again, this is French Vogue, and she is a woman of color; Daria looks the best overall in my opinion... no one can step to her...
except maybe Eniko (I love me some Mihalik, lol)
eta: I made a mistake, this was printed in the August issue, not September as originally stated.
