This past weekend was spent at the UCLGBTQIA Conference.

This year it was hosted at UC Santa Barbara.

All I can say is WOW.

So much fun.

As of now, I will no longer identify as Gay...

but rather... Queer.

When one says they are LGBT,

soo many preconceptions

and expectations are tacked on.

By saying that I am simply

I add some ambiguity to myself

and allow my personality

The artist, Chris Shulga, my boyfriend,

takes a pair of plain white vans, a bunch of Sharpies, and goes for it.

The result, a pair of custom Vans for under 30bucks...

Mind you, this doesn't purchase of the Vans.

His designs were featured in our college's Newspaper,

and they can be found on the soles of a number of our classmates.
